The Community Meals committee of the Women’s Association provides food to those in need in the community. The original program was a Meals-on-Wheels service, started in 1956 by women in our church when a physician at Erie Neighborhood House made them aware of people in the area who were homebound and in need of hot meals and social contact.
Currently, the program provides bag lunches to homeless clients of the Entry Point program of Connections for the Homeless. If you are interested in volunteering for the Community Meals program, or know of others who are in need, please contact the church office.
